Story in Makeshift

makeshift magazine issue 6

Earlier this year I wrote a story for the quarterly magazine Makeshift about folks who use digital devices and apps to pay for (and receive) goods and services. I talked with Magic Curry Kart, a  Lyft driver named Josh, and Rachel from Mousevox Vintage, a fellow Etsy seller. Her store is here, and she was a great interview subject. She also works part time at Mascot in Oakland. I liked a lot of the shots I got of her at work, so I’m posting the outtakes that didn’t run in the magazine. See below!
