Tuesday is Shoesday

Hi there!  Today’s shoe is a classic suede pump in a rich bordeaux hue.  A staple of a 1980s career-gal’s wardrobe, but just as relevant today.  Plus, they are made by one of the great masters of footwear, Manolo Blahnik.
A versatile low heel, a tiny trim of cord fabric along the topline, and a flexible yet sturdy leather sole.
Mr. Blahnik began crafting shoes in the 1970s and opened his first store in Chelsea, which, despite his worldwide success and appeal, is still open for business (albeit as a much larger flagship) to this day.
In present day (and in the 2000s and 1990s), Mr. Blahnik’s footbed label only bear his name. These shoes house an ID showcasing the cities that supported his work from the early days.
